Mysterious small caps in main navigation

Whenever I try to change the font size or font-family in the main navigation, the font reverts to this weird-looking small caps font. The first letter of each word is HUGE, the rest of the word much smaller. I’ve been all over the style sheets, tried removing any weird styling, nothing works. I just want to make the font a little smaller.

The inspect element seems to indicate that whatever this styling is comes from the body somehow. Although i don’t see anything that would cause this in the body styles.

Has anyone else dealt with this?
