• Hello,

I hope this is the correct forum to post this – please excuse if not.

About the time my websites upgraded to WordPress 5.4.2 I started to experience sudden plugin conflicts on two of my sites.

On one site, the plugin “Qubely Blocks” suddenly had a conflict with “Download manager and “Embed Any Document“.” The plugins had been peacefully co-existing for months. Qubely did have an upgrade at about the same time as WordPress 5.4.2.

However, one the other site experiencing problems, I suddenly have Wordfence conflicting with both Jetpack, and bbPress.

These sites are each on different hosting services, one is Bluehost and the other GoDaddy. I have eliminated any environmental possibilities including themes. So I’m interested in knowing if your team has heard of similar issues from other people.

    Thanks,
    Ron Charest

How do you know that these plugins have “conflicts”?

Define “conflict” in tangible terms, so that we can know what you’re referring to, specifically.

Conflicts as in when the plugins are active, they cause my site to crash (not load). I’ve had to go into the file manager and rename the plugin directories just to be able to get into the admin screen.

I’ve spent several hours over the past few days troubleshooting the problems, and I’m fairly confident I’ve identified the issues causing the sites to crash. What I’m having trouble nderstanding is why Wordfence and jetpack conflict only on one site, when I use them on all my sites. The other plugin conflicts are unique to each site.
