• Hi,

I hope you are doing well. My client has developed his website on PHP7.4 and it was working fine. Later on, I don’t know what happened, its hosting account was upgraded to PHP8.1, and the website was not working. I set it back to PHP7.4. However, it is still not working and showing me following error:

“Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.

Please check that the mysqli PHP extension is installed and enabled.

If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress support forums.”

Whereas, other WordPress sites on my server are working fine.

Please help how to fix this issue?

    Regards

  • Please contact the support of your hoster. They will need to install the missing PHP library.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Actually, I have hosted this website on my own server and it was working fine before its upgradation to php8.1.

Then you have to install the missing libraries. The procedure is different depending on which server system you use. If you have any questions, please contact a community that supports it.
