    Hi

After updating to the latest release backups are failing and are stuck on using “mysqldump_fallback” which are not completing at all.

All the blogs are hosted on a dedicated Windows 2008 R2 server and the backups were working perfectly before the latest update to the plugin.

    Please help us solve this.

    Thanks
    Ashley

Also sometimes it indicates it has ran but no backup is taken.

I just wanted you to know I put a note in for the other support folks to weigh in on this and will be back with some notes as soon as I have a chance to research it a bit more.

    A question in the meantime:
The last update went through last month for BWP – is this when you started experiencing problems? Or were the problems just in the last day or two/more recently?

    Thanks

    Hi Kat

Wordfence only notified us last week that it needed updating so it was not updated as soon as the release was out.

We have around 7 blogs on the server, all setup the same. 5 of the blogs were updated last week and these were all failing to backup. 2 of the blogs were not updated and were backing up fine. As soon as I updated the 2 which were out of date today the backups fail on those too so I know it is something related to the last release.

    Thanks
    Ashley

    Okay Ashley –

Okay so there was just a new update (3.3.3) that fixed a few things and added the MySQLdump fallback in the last couple days – I’m going to assume that’s the one you updated to?

I’m thinking we might need to take a closer look in order to troubleshoot this further – are you able to enable the support module on any of those sites? If so can you do that and send us a support request through that module? It will give us more information about your site and server set up and that will help us in troubleshooting.

We’ll leave this ticket open so we can update it, though.

    Thanks
    Kat

    Thanks Kat

    Yes it is 3.3.3.

I am not familiar with the support module, how do I do that?

    Thanks

    Hey there –

Here are instructions for enabling support within the admin https://bwp.hmn.md/support-center/enable-support/ … post back if you have trouble. Otherwise I’ll look for a ping from you over on that support side of things ??

If you are also having trouble, and you are on a Windows server, please follow the directions linked above to enable support. We have a beta version of the plugin you can try.
