Hey there jleung1994 – yours is likely a slightly different issue – can you let us know if this is impacting the running of your site? And have you updated to the newest version of the plugin?

It doesn’t seem to affect my websites. The latest update solved the issue for the website using 4.4.2 WordPress but not the one using 4.3.3.

That’s interesting … Are the backups working for you, or does the error stop them from running? So it solved it in the older version of WordPress but not the newer – that’s so crazy! And you’re up to the 3.4.5 plugin version on all sites still affected?

The error itself actually means the plugin can’t find the MySQL on your server ?? We have a constant you can define in the wp-config.php file that will tell the plugin where to find that, though …

I wonder if you’d be willing to contact us via the support tab on your site’s BackUpWordPress page? We might be able to help you find the right path to use to get that variable assigned correctly if you need help with that.

Actually, both the websites, 4.4.2 and 4.3.3 still have the issue. I thought the issue was solved for the newer version of WordPress, but no.

I’m getting the same issue for my two websites on 4.4.2, but on another the same everything works fine!
The effect of this error appears very interesting. Scheduled backup is not created, not only for the database, but also for files.
However, when I enter the BackUpWordPress control panel, backup starts immediately without my request. As a result I get mentioned error message, and at the same time the backup is successfully created.

I just want to make sure the files are backed up properly. As long as the database and files are backed up properly, I don’t mind manually doing backup.

I tried to reinstall the plug in, but the same message keeps appearing for manual and scheduled backups. Note: I previously renamed my wp-content folder.
