I am having problems with WPForms contact form on 2 of our websites. Every day I have to check that the contact form is working, and often it is not. I am running through the troubleshooting in the documents. In TOOLS – SYSTEM INFO – Webserver Configuration shows as MySQL Version: 5.5.5 However our website hosting has confirmed that our MySQL is 10.6.14-MariaDB – MariaDB Server. We are not sure why WPForms plugin is showing up as MySQL 5.5.5. on all of our websites. We have 4 websites – on 2 of them the form seems to work fine, however 2 of them break almost daily.

    Hi @mosaicinspiration,

In order for us to investigate the issue, could you please share the System Info details on WPForms ? Tools ? System Info?

If your MariaDB version is 10.6.14, this should be showed in the System Info, and here’s an example: https://a.supportally.com/i/XlBUoG.

Also, please share the URL where are the forms which break almost daily. And how are you fixing the forms?

Thanks, and please let me know!

    Hi

    We have 4 websites :-
https://www.okajaro.com.au/ - this contact form breaks regularly https://www.atmupgrade.com.au/ - this contact form breaks regularly https://www.trailerplans.com.au/ - this contact form works https://mosaicinspiration.com/ - this contact form works The OKAJARO and ATMUPGRADE contact forms often are not working … when you click SUBMIT – a message comes up To contact the administrator I then go and check the site – update any plugins, then it would works again (I have now enabled automatic updates for all plugins)
    Still it keeps breaking occasionally
If I go into WP Forms contact form, click SAVE – it works again. In trying to figure out what is wrong, I have discovered that the WPFORMS Webserver Configuration MySQL Version reflects 5.5.5, however our host IPVentra has confirmed that this is not correct, our MySQL is 10.6.14-MariaDB - MariaDB Server This is the information from OKAJARO’s WPForms ? Tools ? System Info Begin System Info -- WPForms Info

    Hi @mosaicinspiration,

    Thanks for all the information!

    About this:

The OKAJARO and ATMUPGRADE contact forms often are not working … when you click SUBMIT – a message comes up To contact the administrator

It seems you’re having a form submission issue.

Please know that problems with form submission often result from a conflict between the cached site and the anti-spam protection feature in WPForms. I recommend taking a look at our guide on troubleshooting cache settings.

To fix this kind of issue, there are some options:

    1) Set a site cache lifespan of around 45 hours should be sufficient to avoid submission errors. For this, you could check the settings in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin. Or you could reach out to your host.

    2) You can change the cache lifetime of the WPForms form token, and for this, please check out this article in the WPForms developer docs. Please note that this requires editing your website’s code, and is recommended for developers.

    3) You can disable the anti-spam protection feature in your forms. If this works for you, you can use one of our other anti-spam options available on WPForms.

In case the issue continues even following the options above, you can enable WordPress Debug Mode and share the details. That way, we can try to provide further assistance.

    Thanks!
