    First post, so be gentle!

I have an issue regarding some of my pages that aare not showing in the dashboard. Upon first login, it says I have 35 pages, but only 32 show up in the page sub-menu.

The issue started when I deactivated qTranslate in favour of WPML. It seems the pages missing are those I created when qTranslate was up and running. Simply duplicating the page will add the digit 2 to the slug of the post I want. If you manually type the webpage out, it comes up with a broken link!

Anyway, I have logged in to mySQL database, where I can view all the records-to-date. I can view some of the pages I want to access, albeit with the following <– page name here –> left over from the qTranslate plug-in, however for the life of me don’t know how to get them back up! Is there a way to do so, or by simply deleting the page, can I reset the slug.

FYI, wp_terms does not show any of the slugs I’m using for my pages.

    Much appreciated in advance.

  • Could you try temporarily re-activating Translate and see if the “missing” pages show up again? If so, delete them before you deactivate the plugin again.

    Thanks for your reply Esmi,

Unfortunately, that was the first thing I did. No luck I’m afraid. I also thought they may be stuck in the trash, but as I don’t have that on my pages box, I can’t check!

Still scratching my head over this issue!

I just tried listing some links for one of my pages using wp_list_pages and $post_parent. It worked fine, but three of my pages showed duplicates, the ones I have replaced them with (slug-2) and the original.

Any help on how to bin the originals would be greatly received.

    Thanks in advance

Easiest way around this issue was to type the URL in manually, where I’d be taken to a blank page. Click on edit in the navigation bar, and proceed to delete from the back-end.

    The slug was then reset…
