    Hello. The links created via PrettyLinks lead to “self-views” in the database. The calls put a strain on the database of many PrettyLinks with a high click rate. Can this be optimized somehow?

    PL does not register clicks on its own links, so there may be something else going on like a broken link checker plugin, or something your host might be doing. This is not typical, but it’s hard to say what might be causing it.
