mydomain.com instead of mydomain.com/blog

  • I’m about to install wordpress and start testing, but I have one more newbie question to avoid a future headache. ??
    I’m sure this one has to be answered a lot of times, I didn’t find it thought.

    I have a multiple sites hosting account using cpanelX.
    My blog (wich is the first site I will upload) has to go to mydomain.com and the index file is supposed to go to the html_public folder.
    What I didn’t get is if it’s possible to install wordpress in \mydomain\html_public\anyfolder, and still get the blog running at mydomain.com, and not mydomain.com\wordpress.
    Can I really install WP in any folder?
    I didn’t get how my domain will point to the blog as the homepage.
