I get this message when I try to update my php template for my home page:

“Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.”

If I then deactivate the MyCalendar(Ver. 3.1.4) plugin — it works!

No other plugin is required to be deactivated! I have 9 active plugins.

I’m running WP 5.0.3. It didn’t used to be a problem (i.e. with prior versions of WP) — it started sometime after one of the auto updates that happen periodically.

This seems to be a really strange issue, and I haven’t been able to identify it yet. I’m working on it, but while I can reproduce it, I’m having trouble seeing a cause.
