• After surviving a hack, all my wp-admin menu start to load 404. Other plugins such as Elementor, Smart Slider loads perfectly.
    Although when I try to edit a page with elementor, it also loads 404 error page. I really don’t know what to do as this has been happening for some months now

  • How did you restore the project after the hack? From a backup? That would have been the safest way. If not, then it’s more tinkering and guessing what the reason could be, since you never know what a hack exactly does to the database and files.

    I reinstall WordPress and replaced most files and folders except WP_content.

    Hi @neyocraig Is there any error showing in console at the time of editing in elementor? If possible, check htaccess on your domain’s root level that everything is clear after hack. Also check that any background process is running or not which is affecting your website. You can check by doing website setup again in your local server or any other staging server.

    @weboccults I just opened my htaccess file and I seem not to understand what I am seeing. I actually do not know much of the technicalities in WordPress.
