• My WordPress site was attacked and I just checked it a few moments ago. I didn’t know when it happened, but I was in the midst of transferring content to another location. (So in some cases, this isn’t critical).

Note: I’m now going to contact support for my hosting service, as I’ve checked the MySQL database and it is damaged (and the password is not working).

    Repro:
1.) I logged into the URL (note: I redirected the Domain now to the new site, instead of the damaged, attacked location where the DB has failed. I won’t post the new location in the meantime, but here is the old location: https://vmerc.com/rhetorics )
2.) instead of the main page, I get the WordPress Initial installation page.
3.) I entered a site name, password, and clicked continue, I then get these error messages (Below) and the “Successfully Installed” page on the bottom:

[ Moderator note: Please use pastebin.com for that error text. ]

Why is my post not showing? (I put in a code, BTW.

You put in what code? If you mean that you posted code here – now many lines and was it hack code? Please do not post hacker code blocks in the forums. Use the pastebin.

Ah, no, sorry, it wasn’t hacker code lines, it was just error messages from the MySQL database. Anyway, I’ve fixed it and instead of putting it in the code delimiter, I used the Blockquote.

That seems to have not worked exactly, it’s all the backtick characters in your text. Please use pastebin.com instead of posting that here.

The error you had gotten repeatedly was this:

WordPress database error: [MySQL server has gone away]

Check with your host provider about the health/availability of your mysql database.
