    How do I fix this?

Try downloading WordPress again, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, and delete then replace your copies of everything on the server except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings.

Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.

That sounds like a lot. I am a little worried about doing this. My host is GoDaddy. Do you think they could fix it without me losing everything? There has to be an easier way.

I just learned that all GoDaddy Managed WordPress sites are having this error. They are all down right now. I hope they fix it soon!

I am having this error too! Good to know because I feel just as worried as you!

Ah good, hopefully GoDaddy fixes it soon. The whole “managed WordPress” aspect puts all of that under only their control, so they’re the only ones who can fix this on their platform.

Some other GoDaddy Managed WordPress customers are reporting that their sites are back in working order, so it sounds like your site might be back too (or will be very soon).
