  • If you are specifically looking for a single post, and not the entire site. try creating a robots.txt file and place it into the root folder (public_html)

    Example:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /{post-url-here}

    You visited this page on 7/11/14.

    i want to get rid of these post, i don’t want it to be on the first page of my website search on search engines.my website is https://www.greenzmania.com. even with this post i am doing right now it will show in search engines.

    Have you set the privacy settings in WordPress to prevent those from indexing your website?

    You’re talking about a post you made here that you do not want to show up in the search engines when you do a search for your site name, correct? You don’t have the power of that. You could remove your link from that post or get the post removed from the forum completely, but that’s about it.

    “Laura13” how can I set the privacy?
    “Bieke8” how can I go about removing my link or post?

    I appreciate the help.

    To my knowledge, you can only get posts deleted on this forum if you have a Really Good reason. Usually, the fact that posts show up in search engines is not a valid reason.
