Hi @sujaypawar. Here is my wishlist, which as a WordPress intermediate level user would suit me and I suspect many others. I run a small number of Astra sites that are mainly hobby and family related, although each of them have 50+ posts and many of those posts use UAG extensively.

BSF releases UAG as a stand-alone plugin (perhaps with a different name) on version 1.25.6. The plugin need not have new features but would need to be maintained from a security/bug level.

I have reverted to 1.25.6 on all my sites. However, how long this is safe is an unknown.

I am unwilling to upgrade to Spectra’s latest version. As an intermediate user I really do not have the time to get my head around the new settings, although I acknowledge that for those who do have this time and are on a suitable WordPress knowledge level, Spectra’s new functionality does appear to be superior to UAG.

I am very happy with UAG 1.25.6 and wish to stay on this version, rather then being forced to change to a plugin that I did not ask for.

From a commercial point of view for BSF (that is for prospective buyers of Astra Pro), I feel this would be an advantage. Users thinking about using Astra and who checkout forums like this, will see that Astra coupled with UAG is still a powerful combination. Those more advanced in WordPress will have the choice of having UAG or going for Spectra.

Is there anything you can do for users like us?

    Hi @ukandrzej

Thank you for the suggestion. Did you read the latest changelog where we decided not to “deprecate” some blocks but just call them “legacy”?

Here is part of the changelog of the last release:

    * Decision: Instead of deprecating some blocks, we decided to call them “legacy” blocks. Legacy blocks work fine and will get support/bug fixes.
    * Improvement: Removed deprecation notices from the settings of the blocks.

I think this should resolve your concern, and you would not need a separate plugin as old blocks will be maintained.

    Rest of the changelog:

    * Improvement: Added a setting to set default values for “column gap” & “row gap” in the container.
    * Fix: Advance Columns – Full-width layout not getting full width on the frontend.
    * Fix: Padding in some blocks were not visible in the editor for old user.
    * Fix: Post Grid – Content padding getting applied to post image.
    * Fix: Icon List – Fixed word wrapping and breaking behavior.
    * Fix: Info Box, Heading, Call to Action – overridden text color on frontend when used in the Cover Block.
    * Fix: Post Carousel, Grid, and Masonry – Disabled ‘Read More’ links in the editor and ensured pointer is shown on button hover.
    * Fix: Post layout – Title color turns white when background image position is set.

This should fix most of the issues people faced after updating.

    1. After updating, please be sure to regenerate the assets. We do this automatically after the plugin is updated, but just to be sure, go to “Spectra > Settings > Asset Generation > Regenerate Assets” and press the button.

    2. Do you see the Advanced Column block layout was not as full width as it was in the 1.x.x release? We noticed this problem only by people who updated to the 2.0.x version and changed the page content. To fix this, please update the plugin’s latest version, go to the edit page/post screen, refresh the editor, and click the update button.

If you still see any issues, please contact our support team on our website and let us know. We need your help to debug if there are still any other problems left so that we can fix them.

Thanks.I now have one of my sites in development space and will do the testing there. If I have issues I will contact via support.

    Hello @ukandrzej,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Thank you!
