My widgets show on my blog but not my homepage

I installed a facebook fan box plugin to my main sidebar and it only shows up on my blog page but not my homepage or my about page. I also added a textbox to my sidebar with the words “test widget”. This also only shows up on my blog. I want to be able to choose which widgets go where, or atleast have them show up on all pages.
