my website isn't working when plugin is active

I installed the MyLiveChat plugin and entered my ID # and I assume that is all I need to do to get this up and running? Well when the plugin is active my WordPress website does not work – it shows no errors just a white screen. I had to deactivate it so I don’t have any downtime. Am I doing something wrong or….? Thank you for you quick response.
