• Error message stating “ your server is running PHP version 5.6.40 but WordPress 6.3 requires at least 7.0.0.

    I have updated PHP to 7.3 on my hosting site still unable to open site.On the app on my phone there is a message asking to upgrade jetpack but all my plugins have gone missing. I tried to install jetpack but it did not work.

    ”there was an error loading plugins”

    please help!

    But the error message still says the site is using PHP 5.6.40.

    It seems whatever action you took did not affect your live site.

    It’s possible to have more than one version of PHP installed, and sometimes there may be a configuration file that instructs the site to use a particular version… thereby overriding any option you check in your hosting control panel.

    Please get in touch with your hosting provider, and seek help from them to actually get your site to use the PHP 7.3 (or ideally an even newer version, like 8.x, since even PHP 7.4 has reached its end of lie already).
