    Not sure if it is a WordPress issue or a Hostgator issue. This is the second time this has happened.
    Help!

    Thank you for your advice. You can tell that I am a newbie!!! I contacted Hostgator Live Chat and they could not tell me where the problem occurred so I have had it restored from a backup. I was with Go Daddy for more than 3 years and NEVER had an issue like this. I appreciate your kindness.

    Mac Highway is an awesome alternative to all of those hosts. Good to keep in mind if you continue to have issues.
