• I got unwanted text and link on the body of my site, I cant find a way to move it.

    I scanned the site(sitelock from godaddy) and it doesnt show any virus. I changed my wordpress password.

    This is what is showing on my site:

    I dont know where to remove it or where it could be found on the site to take it out.

    Can someone help me out.

  • I know it seems logical to focus on the problem link but that is not an effective way to repair hacked sites. Do you or your hosting company have a backup from before the hack? This is the quickest and surest way of removing malware.

    I you don’t have access to a backup, carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

    I am not sure how to fix this issue at all.

    I recreated the homepage of my site but the unwanted links still shows on the site.

    I did a backup with my hosting company going back to april 13 and the links still shows.

    Not sure what else to do.

    Was the database backed up too or just the server files?

    If the database was backed up and if this is the oldest backup your hosting company has, you will have to manually repair your site. Refer to the the guide I posted earlier.

    Unfortunately, no amount of work on your homepage will cure your hack. You have to find and repair or remove all the malware. Then your homepage will look as it did before.
