Hi,
I see that the website is back online, please tell me what you did.Hi, yes, it is back online although Elementor still not working. The host team managed to reinstate the website to an old date. However the elementor widget panel is still not loading. now I have to keep deactivatingg the plug ins , which I never did before. It wasnt a good idea to update the elementor plugin. bit disappointed.
what do you think causes the issue?
cheersHi,
Thank you for the reply. Please roll back your version to 3.5.6 and let me know if it works.
I am new to building website using wordpress. And after all the trials and errors using wordpress theme (elementor/astra /brandstore) i finally learnt some things on my own, after struggling alot, i finally was able to make my home page. But now this is the new issue that happened to me twice yesterday (25 April, 2022) while building my website. This is a very new problem to me, and since i am not that techy person, i am not able to find a fruitful solution to this problem.
Issue no. 1: Yesterday I was building my website, finally after creating all of the things in my home page there was an update and maintainance by wordpress, due to which all of the elements and content of the theme disappeared out of nowhere, edit with elementor button also disappeared. I tried to search a solution to this, i deactivated all my plugins except elementor, then too the site was still totally gone, except the main header and the skeleton of the website, all of the elements were gone.
Issue no. 2: Then after building my website from scratch again after spending like 2 3 hrs on it, again there was that goddamn update and again my themes and elements of elementor were gone. I tried to sync the library, NOTHING, i deactivated themes, plugins, deleted unwanted plugins, NOTHING.
Please give me a solution to this problem ????: Can this still happen after finally publishing my site, will i have to do everything from scratch every now and then (which believe me or not will be a very hard job for me). Is there any way to backup my updates i do on elementor.
Ps: I also tried to find a solution of this issue with elementor first, and there they say if this is happening due to wordpress update, contact their support. Because all the other ways have failed for me (deactivating/deleting plugins/themes)
Hi @dhruvinjain
We would love to assist you, please open a new topic so we can keep track of all issues and not miss it, please. This elementor update is really annoying. Even though I reinstated my website to a previous date, elementor updated itself automatically. This resulted of the loss of my website again.
Could Elementor experts look into this issue please? An update should not result such pain
thanks a lotHi,
We had a bug in 3.6.0 with the automated update, please do not roll back to that because of the bug updating to 3.6.2.We have released 3.6.5, please update that.
Hello, my website has been automatically updated to the version of Elementor Version 3.6.5 and delete my entire site, when I opening it in the browser it says that my site has a critical situation. Which version of Elementor is the one that has no problems with Version 5.9.3 of WordPress?
@talmo will this happen in future too, when i launch my website at full fledge, will i have to do everything from scratch.
And can updraft backups help me in getting back my website if in case in future such a thing happens again
I had the exact same issue yesterday. Crashed my whole site couldn’t do anything, and had a white screen critical error. I finally got my site back up by renaming the plugins folder. As soon as I changed it back, it crashed. Changed it again, loaded the plugins page to deactivate all plugins, and started reactivating. Every time I tried activating Elementor (3.6.5), bamn, crashed again. I repeated the steps, installed a rollback plugin, went back to the previous version of Elementor and increased server memory, and was able to activate. I thought everything was good, but when I go to edit my header and footer with Elementor, I get stuck on a white loading screen and I get nothing. This is extremely frustrating. I can’t make any changes. Has anyone at Elementor figured out what the problem is yet?

Hi,
Since there are multiple issues here I will answer separately for each of you.@ysanchez First, cancel the auto-update by going to your plugin tab and disabling it on the right side of the Elementor plugin, also have a full backup if you do not have it yet
The issue might be because of a plugin conflict, you can check it by deactivating them all and reactivating them one by one.
Since this is very individual to each website, you can roll back and check it with each version.@dhruvinjain I advise having a full backup at all times, with any plugin you use, there is a full guide we made here – https://elementor.com/blog/backup-wordpress/
If you have any backup plugin or auto backup from your hosting provider it should be saved, even if you get a critical error the website is not gone, just need to check where the conflict is coming from@multicolormedia This can be caused by a conflict as well, also I suggest checking the experiments in the settings for the elementor tab and deactivating them all to see if they are conflicting.
I suggest opening a new topic so we can check it closely.Hello!
My website disappeared overnight and I am in panic. The screen just went white and it looks like there is no more information saved. Help!
the webiste is idyomas.comMarta
Oh no @tojamartasobczak sorry this happened!
The good news is, this is a common and usually easy to solve WordPress issue. It usually happens due to a theme/plugin conflict, or your web server running out of memory.
Here’s a guide with the basic debug steps to take when this happens. Hope this helps.
If you need further assistance, please open your own individual ticket and someone will help.
Thank you @aakash8
I have no idea what is my own individual ticket.
Also I got an email suggesting that my WPBakery plugin needs updating. Do you know if, in order to update, I must purchase the license or should my theme author do that?
Another question I have, concerning the guide you have sent me, is extending my PHP memory in case that is the cause of death. ?? That is far too complicated for me, is there chance that you guys can do it for me?Thank you.
