My Update button just spins

The update button has been spinning for a while. I just did new update this morning and it still spins. Eventually it will kick in and update my data but it takes forever making it really hard to write a post with pictures. When it does update it shows the page all white and I don’t see pictures and text unless I back up a page and reload.
