my ubfolder cananical issue

Hi,
I have a site https://www.mysite.com and subfolder https://www.mysite.com/subfolder. My question is , when somebody type for my basic site (www.mysite.com) that should redirect to my subfolder URL automatically. And another question is if i want to reolve my sub folder cananical issues , what i need to do ?
