My trackbacks appear with anonymous sender

  • Sending trackbacks to other blogs the sender is shown as ‘anonymous’ and not my blog’s name. What’s the reason for this?

    Is it a problem with my configuration or is the problem on the receiving blog?

  • I have the exact same problem. I linked to a piece in one of my posts. That link is showing up as a trackback in the comments section of the aforementioned piece. However, the trackback is showing my post as “anonymous.”

    This makes no sense to me. My blog has a name and a unique URL. So there is nothing “anonymous” about it.

    The problem, of course, is that by showing up as “anonymous,” my blog isn’t able to build up a following and name recognition.

    Please advise as to how I can fix this problem. Thanks!
