My theme shows index.php instead of front-page.php

    Hi everybody!

    I’m creating a simple theme. I’ve included a front-page.php file which, I think, is the page that should be showing by default instead of index.php.

    On the backend if I go to Appearance > Customize the front-page.php content is showing but when I visit the Front side it’s showing the index.php content.

    Does anybody know how’s that possible, I thought that as soon as the front-page.php file is created, its content is the one showing.
