My theme isn’t play .flv files— why?

  • I’ve created a custom theme. I’m using Viper’s Video Quicktags plugin. Under settings I have Flash Video FLV checked. Youtube videos play fine, but when I upload a .flv file and then link to it with Viper’s Video quicktags, the flv file doesn’t play.

    I have the following code in my header:

    <?php wp_head(); ?>

    What else could I be doing wrong?

    Just adding…

    Not only doesn’t the flv file not play, but a video player doesn’t even show up on the page.

    What quicktag are you using when you link to the video?
    [flv width="320" height="240"]https://www.example.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/barsandtone.flv[/flv]
