My theme ignores WordPress & Zemanta alignment or align commands for images
-
I love the handy plugin Zemanta and it works great on almost all of my sites. But on this one blog, my theme ignores the align commands no matter what I do.
[caption id="" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Image via Wikipedia"]<a href="https://commons.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Mpclemens-2964757672.jpg"><img class="zemanta-img-inserted zemanta-img-configured" title="The setup for NaNoWriMo at home, if I need to ..." src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f8/Mpclemens-2964757672.jpg/300px-Mpclemens-2964757672.jpg" alt="The setup for NaNoWriMo at home, if I need to ..." width="300" height="265" /></a>[/caption]
The code above is how Zemanta inserts a picture in a post. In my other blogs, this works just fine but not on this site. Here’s a sample post: https://www.hillarydepiano.com/2012/01/05/adjusting-to-life-after-nanowrimo-aka-reclaiming-your-life-but-still-making-writing-a-priority/
That post has the code exactly as listed above, clearly the command to align right isn’t working. I know the problem has to be something in my theme or CSS but… I can’t seem to figure out what the issue is.
I’ve also had issues when I add a picture using WordPress’ native media inserter… it ignores the alignment command there as well. The only way I can get it to actually align an image is to add align to a paragraph tab.
Do I need to add code? Remove it?
Any help or suggestions you can give on this would be most appreciated.
