Hi. Sorry, didn’t get any notification for the first message. First, ensure you have the latest version of the theme, with no custom changes to its code. There is probably some kind of conflict with one of the plugins. Please try to deactivate them all and see if the problem resolves. That includes the visual editor you are using. If it does, begin activating them one by one to pin down which one causes the issue. If you are still unsuccessful, we will need access to your website’s admin area for starters.

    Hello Evgeny,

    Thanks for you reply.

Yes there is custom stylesheet on website which I can’t remove because if I did that my whole website will get destroyed. And same thing will happen if I update my website theme. And I can assured you that when I outsourced my website since then my dropdown option is not working. Which made me believe some code is stopping it from that stylesheet. If you can help me out with code that would me much appreciated. And about the Plugins I have already disabled every last one of that and reenabled those one by one but its not working. None of the Plugin affecting that.

I’m sorry, but the theme is not just old. It is heavily altered. When you are planning to alter the theme, you should use a child theme, so you would retain the backward compatibility and be able to use the updates we are rolling out. Your styles are nothing like Evolve today, neither is JS. My guess is that the theme hasn’t been updated for years and has since undergone heavy changes. In short, the theme you are using isn’t Evolve anymore. I am prepared to go the extra mile here and have a look under the hood if you will provide admin access to your website (to [email protected]). However, if I will find there what I think I will, we will not be able to offer assistance. Sorry again, and thank you for understanding.

Editorial access is useless, unfortunately. I’m not there to have a look at the texts, I need to see the code. I need admin access.

I tried. Unfortunately, this is every bit I thought it was – your theme version is 5 years old, but the main point is that the developers had replaced much of our functionality. It isn’t “evolve” anymore. Moreover, the menu they created is not dynamic. It doesn’t matter what you will do in the “Menus” under Settings, it will not be shown on the website – the developers who did the changes created a static menu inside the theme. So unless you hire somebody to make the theme usable again, you must manually alter the menu in the file evolve/inc/template-tags.php. It isn’t advised – better hire a developer. I’m sorry that I couldn’t help you more.

thanks for your help. I’ll look for some developer to resolve this issue.

    No problem. Good luck.

First, make sure that you’ve correctly created the sub-items under the main product categories in your menu settings. You can usually do this in your website’s dashboard, often found under the “Appearance” or “Menus” section. Ensure that the sub-items are properly indented under the main categories to indicate they are sub-items.

Next, check your theme settings. Some themes, including Evolve, may have specific settings for displaying dropdown menus. You should go to your theme customization options and look for menu settings. There, you can usually enable the dropdown or mega-menu feature.

If you’ve followed these steps and the sub-categories still don’t appear when you hover over the main product categories, it’s possible that there might be a conflict with your theme or other plugins. In that case, consider reaching out to the theme’s support team or a web developer for further assistance. They can help you troubleshoot any potential issues and ensure your dropdown sub-categories work as intended.
