• My slider is suddenly not there anymore. I tried adding a second slider, I tried changing the text or the image on the first slider, and I tried deactivating all my plugins – none of it helped.

I’ve not changed any slider settings, or even logged in to my admin panel since the last time it was working.

What’s going on, and how do I fix it?

This is pretty urgent, it’s a live site that I’m spending money on promoting and my conversion has dropped noticeably since the slider went away. Can anyone help?

Most likely JavaScript issue, I will look into it in few hours.

Also make sure you do not have jetpack photon turned on.

    Thanks!

Jetpack photon being the speed up images and photos option? It is off.

You do not have any slider assigned for the page. scroll down the content editor and find the “Page Heading Options” and
    1. check “Show Default i-max Slider” option to choose your default theme slider, which you can find in your customizer.
    or
    2. Fill the field “Other Slider Plugin Shortcode”, you can use “itrans Slider” or any other 3rd party slider shortcode in there.

    hope that helps

So there’s the problem. I don’t have a “Page Heading Options” box. It goes straight from content, to revisions, to comments under my content editor.

Am I being dumb here, or is something wrong somewhere?

    There might be 2 reason for not having the page meta options ;
    1. You do not have the plugin “TemplatesNext ToolKit” installed
    2. Screen option for “Page Heading Options” is tuned off. The collapsible “Screen Options” is there on the top right corner of the edit page screen.

    TemplatesNext ToolKit solved it. Thanks!

But how did this happen? I can’t say I ever remember installing that plugin, but the slider was working until recently.

    Same here with the issue.
I have no slider right now and dont need install another plugin. I dont wanna install more plugins

    Emiltingo,

TemplatesNext is recommended plugin for this theme. Beside that it is quite usefull. So just install it. It will not harm you or your site.

This is quite interesting. I have been using this theme for over a year, with the slider. Today I noticed the slider had disappeared and after Googling, I found this page. I installed the TemplatesNext and that solved the problem.

My question though is this…how did it turn off on its own? Why did it work all this time without that plugin?

We had meta field function in both, theme and plugin TemplatesNesxt ToolKit. It was difficult for us to update both together. Different versions of meta field could create conflict, so we had to remove one. TemplatesNesxt ToolKit is a light plugin with lots of useful functionalities, it won’t add too much of extra weight.

    thank you

I’m a bit of an amateur so possibly missing many steps, but here is my issue. My slider was also missing, so I reinstalled TemplatesNext ToolKit which restored the slider images but they are not functioning or sized properly in Chrome, Opera, or Firefox. I cannot locate “content editor” or “Page Heading Options”. I havn’t worked on the site in several months, aside from updating plugins today, and everything was operating perfectly prior to now.
