My Site Won’t Load

  • My site, machorhino.com, uses WordPress 3.0 with Yahoo as my host but continually has problems loading and I get “Error Establishing Database Connection” several times a day. I have about 600 posts in my blog. Is that too many? I continually have to “repair database” with myphpadmin and that helps it until I add a new post. Then I’ve got to continually repeat the process which is very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You need to contact your web hosting service provider regarding this issue. It seems that it is due to the overload on the database server.

    I’ve talked to Yahoo and they said everything is good on their end, it must be something with WordPress.

    Sounds very odd. Can you enable some sort of logging, or verifying that the details are correct? Could it be that your site is on multiple load-balanced backends, and one of them wasn’t updated successfully?
