My site with University theme too slow

  • Dear All,

    we were really fascinated with the university theme when we first saw it and decided to build our website with the theme.

    Our developers did a good design with the theme. The problem now is that the website is just too slow. It takes ages to load and if it finally loads and you click on a link say ‘view universities’, it takes several minutes to display. But if you click on a link to another site from the home page it takes just seconds to connect, which means something is wrong somewhere with the theme or our site.

    Our site is hosted on a VPS pro – Linux server. We are using wordpress version 4.2 and you can see the site at https://www.nuguide.org.

    Does anyone know what we can do to make the site or theme work faster, please?

    Hi Menre,

    The theme is not slow. You can test your website by activating one of the default wordpress themes and see if the issue continues.

    I did check your website however and it seems more of a hosting relatef problem. I suggest you talk to your hosting provider.
