My site title is gone

My Site title is gone (the Site description is visible).

I’ve tried different themes – it doesn’t show up on any of them. Only the description is visible.

In the Customiser Site Identity it is set to visible.

In themes where this can be done, it is also set to visible.

When I change something small in the site identity (for example add a space in the site name) in the preview window of the site identity it is visible, I publish the changes, but after refreshing the page it turns out that the changes are not published (ie again the title is not visible – only the description is visible).

I’ve tried adding a logo, changing what is visible (name and description, logo or nothing), but when I restore the site name and description to visible, only the description is visible again.

I reinstalled WordPress, to no avail – again the site title is not visible, only the description is visible.

In the database the name of the site is recorded – I checked (I have Virtualmin and I host the site at home on a Debian machine).

I have disabled all plugin one by one.

It turned out that the problem disappeared when I turned off the Polylang plugin – an extension for multilingual work. I will contact plugin support to share the issue I encountered and how I can fix it.

I like Polylang plugins – could you help me to fix problem?
