looks like single posts using a template file of the plugin instead of its usual theme when not in maintainence mode. i suggest that the call of that template has changed.

I think it’s caused by use_maintenance_template() in includes/classes/wp-maintenance-mode.php.

If the meta key “_wp_page_template” does not exist, the plugin will force wpmm-page-template.php to be applied, but I think this meta key is often not used for “posts” or “custom post types”.

I’m really sorry for the issues caused; it was a small oversight affecting the post types with no templates.

I’ve rolled out a fix in v2.5.3, and everything should be fine now.
