I’m at a loss on what to do. I uploaded Google Site Kit and integrated my GA4 tag 8 days ago, but GA4 still states that the tag isn’t showing on the site. Trying to figure out what’s wrong with either my end or the platform.

For some reason, the pictures didn’t link, but I’ve included those below along with the google drive links to the pictures:

Hi @s4nd3rs, thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear that your Google tag isn’t being detected. I’d be happy to look into this for you. It sounds like something is blocking the placement of the tag on your site. I can check this for you if you could please share the following:

    1. Your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.
    2. Do you see the Analytics placed code in your sites source code when checking from an incognito window?
    3. Was your Google tag previously detected or has this been the case since first connecting the Analytics module in Site Kit?

Once you have shared the information above I can help you with some next steps to take. Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Hi @adamdunnage thank you so much for responding! I filled out that google form with the information about my site health, the overall result was that it had good site health.

It doesn’t look like the code is showing from the incognito tab.

While my GTM is fully connected, the tag itself hasn’t been shown to be connected – only on the Google Site Kit does it say that GA4 and the website are connected. I figured (because I connected 8 days ago) that I needed to wait 48 hours, but when I went to check again, it still hasn’t been connected.

@s4nd3rs Thank you for sharing the information. I can see from checking your site source code that this is likely due to a plugin conflict. In this case it looks as though the issue here might be with the WP Fastest Cache plugin. I can see that this is minifying your source code which is likely why you are encountering this issue.

Could I please ask you to try disabling any minification options you have in this plugin and checking your site once more? If you continue to see the issue then you can also try disabling the WP Fastest Cache plugin and checking.

If you continue to have this issue after the above, could you also try following the steps on our troubleshooting page here. Let me know how you get on with all of the above.

Hi @adamdunnage disabling the plugin seemed to do the trick! Thanks for your help. So if I wish to use GTM and GA4, I probably should have any cache plugins?

@s4nd3rs Glad to hear it! You are very welcome for the help. You should be able to use Site Kit with caching plugins but there is always the possibility of these things happening. You could try enabling the caching plugin once more and finding a specific setting that may be blocking the code placement and switching off that setting.

Alternatively you could try a different caching plugin. Glad I could help you with this and I wish you all the best with your website.
