• Sorry for the riddle-like topic title.

    See: https://www.goallover.org

The site obviously uses widgets, such as the one at the bottom (The WP-Cumulus tag cloud), but when trying to access the widgets in the Admin mode it says:

“The theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions.

    No Sidebars defined.”

    Hope you can help.

    Richard

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

-> Disable all the plugins and enable it one by one to find out the culprit.
-> upgrade your wordpress to the latest version
-> Check with default theme and if it is works then there will be an issue with the theme designing. To resolve it you need to edit the theme and make it widget supported. For that refer this article:

Add Widget Support to WordPress Theme

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

That sidebar doesn’t have markup indicative of a dynamic sidebar. It looks to me like that sidebar was hardcoded.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I make dynamic.

I looked at Shane G’s article but:

    1) I don’t have the functions.php

    2) I don’t have a

code on the sidebar, only <ul class=

    Is this it?

    Thanks,

    Richard

Most themes have a functions.php. If yours doesn’t, just create one. WP should find it and use it.

Ok. I just downloaded the-morning-after theme and there is a functions.php. It also has a partially dynamic sidebar. Something’s odd. Are you using an old version of the theme?
