my site is blank

  • i’m a beginner here, just to warn you all.

    i’m trying to log into my site through wp-admin and it says error 404, website not found. I’m not sure what’s going on and any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Access with your FTP client:
    Try
    Rename you plugins directory and create a new EMPTY directory
    Rename your current Theme’s directory

    See if they help. If not, we could use a link to your site.

    Looks like you maybe overwrote the index.php in the main WP directory with one from your theme. Copy one from the original WP source.

    it didn’t help, i’m still getting the error message… ??

    is there anything else you need from me to understand this issue a little better?

    You have other problems. The main page does not come up at all and when I try wp-admin it redirects to some kind of default or 404 page.
    Maybe check your directory permissions.
