My site is broken. Don’t know how it happened. Last nite, my webhost installed a new message board to my primary domain. Now, my site is jacked up. Everything was fine, before the board install.

They told me to reinstall the ENTIRE application, if I “don’t know how to fix syntax errors”. What? Can anyone determine what’s wrong and offer me some insight as to how to fix it? Do I have to reinstall?

    I’m sad ??

  • the stuff you see at the top is actually a php.ini that is being echo’d to the screen.

Ive not a clue how that might happen though.

It looks like the server is displaying the contents of the php.ini file before the actual content of your site.

I don’t recall ever seeing that before, and it really does look like something your host has done.

    View your source code:
You’re getting the whole php.ini printed out before your page starts. Besides this, your site is well. Contact the sytem administrator of the webserver your site is hosted.

And Backup everything before! This webserver could be hacked…

Yep, that’s why I ADORE you all! You come to my rescue, every single time! I called my webhost, and asked them nicely, but firmly to fix the errors — because the errors weren’t there, before the board installation, and I didn’t feel I should go into meltdown, trying to figure out how to fix it myself.

They fixed it. All is well in the world. Thank you all for your timely responses! I deeply appreciate it.
