My site has been maliciously hacked….need webmaster now please

i’ve had to deal with a hack before perhaps i can help what exactly have they done?

this fellow has entirely wiped the sites out

is it the site in your profile? it hasnt been wiped out, theres just some sort of database problem. what makes you think this person has hacked you, and its not just a fluke problem thats showed up?

I witnessed the birth site before it totally went down. There had been files and links altered/removed. Several minutes later all was gone.

I am having a dispute with this individual and it is not a real surprise he has done this considering his behavior thus far.

well we dont know what hes done, if hes deleted it all, emptied the database, who knows. did you have a backup copy of everything?

yes, and I did pay him, before the sites were built, which is sad.

and I also saw the passwords were changed and I could not get into the admin

I suppose he does not value his internet business very much

so are there any “honorable” webmasters out there who can assist me?

But is that your hosting account or the other guy’s?

so you DO have a backup of everything, including the database? the first thing i would do is cut off his ftp access if he has it, and any access he has to your hosting panel and database. then you can just wipe everything out and restore from your backup, make sure you change all your passwords.

I believe he hacked in through the script somehow. I have backups. Not from as recent as I would have liked. I did a days work I am sure I will have lost. I am certain I will need assistance in resetting this mess.

there is also an issue of how the youtube feeds were set up which I know nothing about.

depending on what files are left i think i can do a rebuild, i have had to rapidly rebuild several sites in the past.
