My site, admin everything disappeared

Try checking your site’s error logs for messages. Your hosts should be able to help you in accessing your site’s error logs.

Hi – I also have the same problem but running site on local MAMP server at the moment. ‘White screen of death’ appeared after activating a new theme. Would like to try and re-activate default theme but because I can’t see the WP admin part I’m not able to do this. Can I do this somehow through the MAMP server?

No messages in error logs .. looks like the site has been hacked and now I need guidance on how to take it back.

Yes I checked with my host .. he says no errors.

Do you have a recent database backup that you can restore?

Mostly I have the images and content but how would I restore?

I don’t think I do. I apologise for my slow tech knowledge. Images and content yes, database .. what do you mean by that?

The database is where all of your site’s content is stored. ask your hosts if your database is still intact. If not, ask if they have a recent backup.

No – you could only use these to re-construct your site by hand. Have you confirmed that all WordPress files and folders are still present on your site using FTP?

No, I have not and I do not know what FTP means?
