My server load always increases

    Hi, every single time I go to compress the images on my site, my server load goes from .55 .72 1.08 to around 7, even on one image! Before I bug my techs, is there a reason why it goes so high?

    Hi,

    The image compression is done on smush servers (not yours) so this would not be causing this

    It might be worth installing the free plugin WPCrontrol and checking which Cron events run and this time to see if there could be something else causing this.
