my rss gives an error message

    It worked till yesterday when I cam home and found this error:

    RSS Error: A feed could not be found at https://www.barefootny.com/feed/. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed.

    I am new to this and have no idea what could have gone wrong as I did not change or add anything.

    Please, if you can help me fix this. Validator.org is telling me the RSS link I use is wrong – https://www.barefootmy.com/feed/

    what theme are you using?

    Hi Tara, I am using the wp 2012 theme

    To rule out any theme-specific issue, try the fresh unedited copy of 2012 theme from a fresh download of it

    I did that already, did not solve the problem, anything else I can do about it?

    – One thing is pretty sure this feed issue is not a WP core issue.
    – since you are working with 4.1.1, try switching to the default 2015 theme for a moment WITH ALL PLUGINS DEACTIVATED.
