My Problems with Google Analyticator

  • I have Google Analytics installed on my website and it’s working well. I installed WordPress as my blog on my website and that is working well. However, I would like to install Google Analyticator and Ultimate Google Analytics on my blog to look at the people who go on my blog. I downloaded the plugins and installed, and they show as active but when I go to the admin dashboard, the header at the bottom of the dashboard just shows “Loading …” under the Google Analytics Summary. No information comes up at all. It just sits there and says “loading…” what can I do to make it start collecting data? Thanks. I hope it’s something simple and obvious that I am missing.

    I tried to put on the Analyticator first. When I signed up for the Google plugins, I did have to authenticate with Google, I clicked on that link and got to Google Analyics. I got a warning message that:

    I clicked OK and hoped that would turn on the Analyticator, it didn’t. It resulted in my dashboard saying that the Analyticator was active but no information comes up.

    Thank you in advance for your help on this matter. I am using Firefox 3.5.7, I don’t know if that is causing trouble. I am also using Atahuelpa 3.4.5.

    AND, I do have the analytics on my main web page. However, I want analytics on my blog, too. Do I need to make up a separate Google website for the WordPress Blog Page? I would think that I do because it is a different page from my main website. Or should this be done through a filter?

    So, if my main site is https://www.myblog.com and my blog page is https://www.myblog.com/blog/ do I need a separate Google website profile, or just a filter? Thanks.

    I believe I am having the same problem.

    I’ve been unable to successfully install any one of three different Analytics plugins I’ve tried.

    I have successfully installed Analyticator on other sites and have been happy with it. It’s just this one site giving me problems.

    Hey guys – make sure your web host allows outgoing connections. I had to set that up with mine, since most web hosts block outgoing connections by default. They might have a utility for you to do it yourself, or you might have to e-mail them the information so they can open up a connection. Hope that helps!

    Google Analyticator is not installed on your blog at present. You need to go back into settings and add the number there. Its the same place where you tick to do the authentication.

    Usually for the athentication to work you need to be logged into your google account on the same system at the time you do the authentication query.

    Your main site has GA installed in the footer.

    You can use the same GA account for both blog and other site pages. Don’t really need a filter as it will be obvious which pages are showing up.

    The widget only shows up if you are an admin and to see the full details you (0f course) need to be logged into the actual google account.

    Also you do have Ultimate Google Analytics activated but I wonder if there is a conflict there. I’d try deactivating that temporarily – not sure why you want to use it once the Analyticator is up and running.

    I assume you have access to the actual GA account which is where most of the good insights will be.
