My problems since updating to 3.9

  • I thought it was all happening because of jetpack – it didn’t occur to me that it might have been because I had just updated to 3.9. Here are the problems:

    1) I can update media anymore. It shows on the admin side but after I click on Update it says it’s updating but never shows up on the website.
    – In a related issue, a particular graphic I had deleted out of my posts weeks ago suddenly showed up again, but only some of the posts it had been in – and those wouldn’t update to the website either.

    2) news@me plugin doesn’t work anymore. No error messages – it just doesn’t show up on my website.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
