My "Posts" page is unresponsive when trying to draft a new blog post

  • I tried to add a new post and when trying to edit within the posts page, wordpress is unresponsive. When clicking on the commands below, nothing happens.

    -Inserting a link within the visual post body (nothing happens when clicking the link function)

    -Adding categories

    -Adding media

    -Adding tags

    Basically, I can type text, but the page is mainly unresponsive with most commands. I’m new to WordPress, so not sure what to do. Any help would be strongly appreciated!

  • Have you tried:
    -deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    -switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
