My Posts Have Gone?!?!

  • Hi,

    I have a site https://www.mrdanielknight.com – that I updated last night. Checked it this morning and my posts have gone. I have since updated my site a good, 5-6 times since the shown last post.

    Please advise as some of these were password protected samples of interviews. Will these reappear with time? Or do I need to do or check something manually?

  • So have mine … Anyone else having problems? Anyone know of a fix? We also link to our posts from Facebook and Twitter, so these links are obviously now returning a 404 …

    Daniel, I see your posts just fine. Disappearing posts are usually due to a misconnection with the database, for example by deleting or replacing the wp-config.php file.

    But if you read through you’ll see that I noted that I have updated my site since the visible Posts.

    I have made no changes to my site other then adding some posts last night.

    It seems they have come back. I hope this doesn’t happen again.

    It was a problem with 123-reg … They reverted back to people’s old databases … Cheeky!!

    They have gone again! I think 123-Reg must be having some server issues. Hopefully they get back on track soon!

    Please make sure you make a backup of your database the next time you are able to see your posts, just to be safe! Use wordpress to export your posts at the least. Does it say something like “error establishing a connection to a database”?

    My posts from the last couple of days have gone and I’m with 123-reg. Have you got your posts back yet? Can I expect mine to come back?

    You should expect all of your posts back soon. They are normally quite good with this sort of thing.
