• I’ve posted about this today, but don’t see my post and cannot find where this exact issue is talked about, so please don’t delete this post without answering me in some fashion.

I upgraded my application today to 2.3.2 and although the data is in the database and the wp_config file is pointing to the right database and everything acts like it’s happy, my old posts do not show up in the blog.

Please advise what I can do to resolve this.

    Many thanks,

    Maggie

  • Have you clicked on ‘Member’ under your own user name to see the history of your posts? I see a post titled “Old posts from database not pulling into upgrade of WP.”

I don’t see that in the admin panel. On the users tab there is only admin which was as it was before, in the manage tab there is only the one post I made today to advise my readers that I have a problem that I’m working on.

What exactly am I supposed to be looking for?

    maggie123,

I think macsoft3 was referring to clicking on member here in the forum below your name to see your “lost” first post about your problem.

Oh — thanks. I’ll try that in the future. Meantime, need help with the problem at hand.

Checked the db and all posts are there. Checked wp_config and it’s pointing to the database and has the correct credentials.

I didn’t have this problem with the other blog I upgraded — all the old posts there are good to go.

Assuming this isn’t related to https://www.kemar-k9s.com/HoundBlog/ being redirected from https://www.kemar-k9s.com/wordpress/ ….

Have you tried deactivating all your plugins and changing your theme to the WordPress Default 1.6 theme?

    Yes, I have done that.

I believe this to be a database issue.

I notice that there are both a “posts” and a “wp_posts” table in it and that the posts showing up in the blog are in posts whereas the old posts are in wp_posts.

I have tried importing the wp_posts into post (after truncating the table), but they still do not show up.

I’ve also tried updating the guid field to show the move, also with no results.

The posts do not import from either an xml file or an sql file.

Any suggestions? I sure hate to lose 2 years of blogging.

    Thanks!
