My personal weblog

  • Please visit my weblog and let me know what you think of it or what you think can be improved. It is a personal blog where we put nice stuff like holiday’s, day’s away, just about anything nice we want to share with friends. I used a theme from the internet and modified it pretty much. The header now displays a different image each time you visit and i changes some cosmetics.

    It’s an interesting design. The color scheme seems too dark, other than that it’s good to go.

    Is that German?

    I think its Dutch, good site though!! ??

    am not a fan of dark background and white fonts but that’s a personal choice, otherwise it is a simple theme, pretty clean and good for a personal blog.

    i can’t read the content because i don’t know dutch, but from what i can see is that the blog is regularly updated which is good. the header is nice, very much relevant for a travel blog.

    suggestions:
    1) Since its a personal blog i would suggest you to keep your facebook/myspace etc pages as links on your sidebar.

    2) Use a white background theme, sorry could not resist this suggestion ??

    3) It is a blog and social media is always important to form a community around it, so perhaps a facebook like or a retweet button would be a good idea.

    I will try out some lighter backgrounds but i dont like the way they looked so far.

    This light background is better.

    Yep it has been hard work, Im pretty new to all of this and since I wanted to make some small changes to the theme you have got to get into the code and try some stuff out. I am only having a problem with the language now. I want the site in duch, but whatever I do its always: theme – dutch wordpress – English or theme english wordpress dutch. I cant get the whole site in dutch. I changed the language in the config-wp.php to dutch (NL), but then the theme is in english again. When I change it to nl_NL the theme is in dutch, but WP is in english. I have this since I updated to 3.01. I really dont know how to solve this, any help would be appreciated.
