• When I make a page on worpress and save it I look up in “settings” to see how many headings and paragraphs I have. If I go back to edit that, like change a word or add a period to a sentence and save it, I go back to settings and all my headings and paragraphs go away and I need to redo the whole page again.

Sometimes I make no edits and a few days later I check setting and my headers and paragraphs are at 0.

I don’t have a plugin for editing. I just go to the control panel click all pages. Then I find a page I want to edit and click edit. When that page pops up it says type or choose a block. A box pops up giving me a choice for headers, paragraphs, buttons, ect.

This only happens on 3 or 4 pages out of 40.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • Without more information about your project, it’s hard to analyze the problem. I assume that you use the Gutenberg editor with actual WordPress 5.9. Does the described happen always only with the same 3 or 4 articles? How exactly do you go about editing an article afterwards? You wrote “If i go back to edit that” – do you use “back” in the browser or what exactly do you do?

No I go to the home page and find the page I want to edit, and hit the edit button. I will go in and add a period to a sentence, save it and I look at settings and all the headers and paragraphs are gone.

What’s weird is I’ll redo that page again and save it and not go back to edit it. It shows I have headers and paragraphs. A few days later I go back to that page and look in the description and all my headers and paragraphs are at zero.
