My page doesn’t appear when I try to add a static page to the homepage

    I’m trying to add a custom page to the homepage using “your homepage displays” in the reading settings. I see two default pages that were created by my plugins, but not the new page that I just created. How do I get my page to appear in the homepage drop down menu? It is published privately.

  • It is published privately.

    The page that’s to act as your homepage (or posts page) cannot be private. It has to be published publicly before it’ll appear in the drop-down list.

    If your goal is to keep your entire site private, there are appropriate solutions for that. But this is not the way to do it.
