It’s a very “condensed” site at the moment ?? but I’m sure it will grow with more choices. I would like to see it with at least three posts to get a feel for how it would look in the spacing between the posts and in the categories.
The colors and layout is very nice, powerful without overpowering. I like the search in the header. Great touch. Very simple which means people can concentrate on the content. And good choice for font and font-size, though in the single post, the example of the code given is really really small. You might want to increase the font size there.
In Firefox, the footer’s red box doesn’t reach to the bottom of the line because the footer line wraps, pushing the gray box down longer, but it stays together in MSIE. Honestly, the XHTML validation and such links are there as examples and since your site validates, and since your site is NOT about validation, you might want to get rid of them and either replace them with something else or leave it blank. You have such a clean look, why have needless clutter.
The eight ball answers in the header are a nice trick, but they aren’t nice if the first view of the site features the words “The reply is no” or “Don’t count on it” right next to your logo. You might want to move that down to the footer, with some kind of eight ball reference, (or put it in an eight ball look – black circle, white text) as many people have no idea what that means. I am currently getting about 10-15% of my site viewers from outside the United States and that number keeps growing. Most of those people will not recognize an eight ball phrase, nor many of today’s American youths.
It’s nice, refreshing actually, after seeing a lot of clutter on many new WordPress sites, and very clean. Keep up the brilliant work!
